When I was 20 years old I gave my life to Jesus Christ, and he revealed himself to me in an amazing and real way, he transformed my life and have continued to see God do amazing things! And so, I was working for another large company in 2009, and I heard what I believed was God‘s voice speaking to me, and He said, son you’ve been faithful with another man’s company and I’m going to give you your own now… And that was the beginning of the birthing of KING KLEEN!
I really enjoyed cleaning, and it was some thing that I was pretty good at and what I knew of the cleaning industry was there was a big need for excellence and consistency. So …. I started King Kleen in January 2010. there was a lot to learn and still is… But with an amazing team We have built a strong healthy Cleaning Team that has the privilege of bringing world-class cleaning services to our amazing customers!
I worked with another service company in a different industry and many times I was asked if I knew of any good cleaning companies… This is really where I felt inspired to help because I believed I had the cleaning gift in me to meet this great and very real need that business’s had.

We have an amazing KING KLEEN family. We call our cleaning team members “ partners” and not employees or Cleaners. We do that to show them high value and respect because that’s what they deserve. They are very hard-working and they have a tough job serving customers on the front lines. And we have a world class administrative team as well that gives wonderful encouragement & support!
Our main focus is janitorial cleaning & disinfection services in the commercial public spaces. We do have an amazing residential cleaning & disinfection service team as well.
We recruit great cleaning professionals and train, equip and support them well. We use cutting edge technology in the form of an app on our phones as a system to keep us focussed on the customers requests, and to keep us on track to fulfill those requests. We have Cleaning Partner supervisors that are scheduled to perform regular customer site visits to ensure THAT consistent standard of excellence. And… I personally send out a short encouragement video weekly to our team to keep our mission and consistent Excellent customer service focus in front of us all. We also have a Cleaning partner monthly meeting where we get together for team building & growth, and training updates , so that we keep getting better!
We have helped McDonald’s, Tim Hortons, Kingston Volkswagen & homestaed with post construction cleaning… we have helped public health, service Ontario, Amiee’s Taxi, Greer Galloway, with initial cleaning and ongoing cleaning programs just to name a few!
We have trained our team to call 911 if ever there is a life-threatening or a medical emergency. We have our admin team during regular business hours to support any unexpected issues or emergencies… And we have our cleaning partner supervisors on call after hours to give support to our Cleaning Partners and Customers should an unexpected issue or emergency arise. We also have an after hours call Centre who will reach out to me and our office manager should an emergency escalate to that level. And we have a customer emergency contact in our app to reach out to the customer in an emergency situation if needed as well.

We take every request case by case, and it needs to line up with our systems so that we can ensure our ability to deliver consistent excellence. If we can do it, and it’s in line with our mission and it’s a win-win win situation for everybody involved, then we do our best to accommodate all special requests through our standard processes.
One top priority item in our communication and training with our cleaning partners is FOR THEM to keep tight communication with their customer contact to ensure that they are consistently five star happy, and that their needs are being met with consistent excellence… Our cleaning partners have a notification that pops up monthly on their app in their schedule to check in with their customers personally if they haven’t already been in communication.

There was a well-known business in Kingston that had a flood in their basement and it made a huge mess. I personally with two other Cleaning partners of ours quickly responded to the call and were able to take what was a very disappointing disaster for the customer, and turn it into a clean and organized space in a timely manner for them. It was greatly appreciated!
I showed up on the cleaning project and it was a major mess. There was so much clutter and garbage everywhere that it was overwhelming to look at. I quickly assessed the situation and determined that step number one would be clearing out all surface garbage & clutter. Step 2 would be the cleaning and disinfection stage. So I saw a snow shovel and started to shovel it all into one pile and then started to bag up all the garbage. before long the space was starting to look clean and clutter free!
With one of our larger customers, The strategy we were using for cleaning their floors in the winter was working quite well until they changed their flooring…. the current strategy we had been using was then not working, and so we had to change our process to ensure that the floors were looking good and we implemented the use of a small floor machine.
The strategy that we used was to put very specific detail into our Cleaning app, and ensure that our cleaning partner knew clearly what the customers high importance desires were, and we did our best to fulfil those requirements.
A long time ago I was cleaning a customer location and dumped my dirty water into the wrong sink and forgot to rinse it out. The customer called me very upset explaining that one of our team had done this… I realized immediately that it was me, and I sincerely apologized and admitted my wrong. And I believe I offered to come correct it. I made it very clear to the customer that I understood how frustrating that was, and that it should never happen again.
There is a rare occasion where snow or ice has created an unsafe situation for our team to perform the service. so we would communicate with the customer and let them know the situation, and perform the service the day after or make whatever decision was appropriate with the customer, and create a win-win win situation for everyone involved.
